Lord of the Rings on stage

One of the nice things K and I did in London was to watch the stage production of The Lord of the Rings at Theatre Royal Drury Lane. I was sceptical as to whether they would pull it off, transforming such a great – and looong – epic to a stage play. But… they did! […]

Unfixable

Well, it was supposed to be taken down and replaced by a flat-screen tv, but the intention was not for it to come down with a bang. A tv that’s fallen 2,5 meters make up a LOT of small small pieces.

Missing the big party

• December 6, 2005 • Comments (2)

It seems like I often get ill just in time for something exciting to happen, and tonight is no exception. Right now some 600 people are gathered at Berns to celebrate Aftonbladet’s 175th birthday. Rumour has it Lena Ph and Orup are performing. It’s supposed to be an extravagant party, and I’m sad to miss […]

I made the move

Welcome to the new place, look and feel of my blog. It’s also got a new name – the many faces of L. “Lotta at work” was an odd title to begin with, and was meant as a contrast to my @home.se address, but it was never a good choice. The faces can of course […]

This and that

Today has been a very slow day at work. The things I need to get done before the weekend cannot be done until I get the material from the paper edition, and the material will come late. A bit frustrating. I’m not feeling quite well. K has been home with a cold a few days, […]

More podcasts from Bloggforum 3.0

Here are two more podcasts from Bloggforum 3.0. The first is Moz Hussain from MSN Spaces. (52 minutes, 43 seconds. 49MB) He said there are 307 000 MSN Spaces users in Sweden. I doubt that very much – I don’t think more than a fraction of them are active. He also talked about the integration […]

Going back through history some 5 000 years, he showed us how civilizations have risen and fallen, how people have re-invented the wheel, invented new technology etc only to fall […]

Some comments on Bloggforum 3.0

Today was the day for the third edition of Bloggforum, the IRL get-together of Swedish bloggers, now expanded to include some bloggers from other countries as well. The event has developed and become very professional, with some really interesting speakers. It was divided into four sections, and in each section you got to choose between […]

Time for a change

• November 16, 2005 • Comments (0)

After eight years with a self-developed publishing system I have decided to convert this blog to WordPress. It will lose some of its unique features, but most will remain. The main reason for the change is that it’s easier to manage and to add new features, plus trackback and pinging will work. My RSS feed […]

That dreaded month

• November 2, 2005 • Comments (0)

November. I don’t have words to describe how loathsome a month it is. The darkness. The damp. The cold. The endless fatigue. It’s a month when you reduce yourself to a machine intended for work and sleep only, and try to work hard enough for time to pass quickly. It’s the time of year when […]
