One week old

Today Linus turned a week old, and it feels like he’s been living with us for much longer than that. Already it’s hard to imagine life without him. Today he lost the remainder of his umbilical cord. His left eye is still clogging up because of a narrow tear canal, so we’re trying to keep […]

Linus is here!

On July 29 at 00.35 I gave birth to a baby boy. Finally! Now we’ve been home for a day, and right now he’s asleep on our bed, looking very peaceful. It’s amazing how much love you can feel for a person you’ve only known for four days. His full name is Linus Anders Willard […]

Overdue

July 24 was my due date. I was hoping I’d be a bit early… but now it seems I will be late, like so many first time moms. I’ve been home from work for three weeks now, and the past few days I’ve started to handle the wait a bit better, not only sitting at […]

Citizen journalism's big impact in Korea

• June 27, 2008 • Comments (0)

Interesting piece over at TechnoKimchi on the protests against president Lee Myung-Bak in Korea and how it all came about through citizen journalism: How did it happen so quickly? This is the fun part. Lee is a very conservative guy, who still believes in “control”. What he did was, when numerous protests broke out around […]

Happy midsummer!

• June 20, 2008 • Comments (0)

Have a great day and let’s hope there’s no rain. Looking good so far. We’ll get together at the allotment for some fairly simple midsummer celebrations. Very content that we don’t have to sell lottery tickets this year. : ) Two more weeks of work after this weekend. I think that’s manageable.

YouTube gets new citizen media channel – and beef over censorship

• June 10, 2008 • Comments (1)

Going through old posts on Beta Alfa’s blog, I found a post about YouTube’s new Citizen Media channel, Citizen News. They’ve appointed a News Manager and aim to collect news from citizen sources in one place, as a citizen news and interviews channel. News Manager Olivia M calls out: So here’s where I turn to […]

Excellent clip from WAN in Gothenburg, provided by Medievärlden. Pierre Haski of Rue89.com on how to take your readers seriously and get good quality comments and a good debate. More at Medievärlden (in Swedish).

Countdown

Every day I am reminded of the number of days left to the estimated time of delivery. My Google startpage has a widget showing the baby’s growth and the number of days remaining. I’m getting really big now, different body aches limiting my movability by the day… like the day before yesterday I noticed my […]

Dave Spoon interview

• May 3, 2008 • Comments (0)

I’ve been doing some weird things at work lately, providing articles for an EDM site called Love The Beat. Last weekend I worked as photographer/videographer/interviewer at Sphere Festival, a big house/trance event in Alvik in Stockholm. There we met djs like Dave Spoon and Matt Darey. Here’s my interview with Dave Spoon.
