Okay, I’m convinced. The referendum on whether Sweden should start using the euro as currency is coming up shortly (September 14). Both the yes and the no side has used ugly tactics – trying to frighten people instead of explaining how the system works, and why it’s better either to keep the krona and the controll of the monetary politics or to join the third step of the European Monetary Union, EMU, and become full members.
It is all very confusing. Ordinary people are to make up their minds about what will happen to the economy, to food prices, to Swedish industries etc. in either case.
Now I finally know what to vote. It’s not yes. It’s not no. It’s OJ!
