Ups and downs
What a turn a day can take. This one started out badly, with me not wanting to get out of bed at all. But then, suddenly, things changed.
I got a visit from mom and had coffee and nice cookies that she brought.
I had dinner with Kalle at Tranan. The best mushroom ravioli I’ve ever eaten, with pine nuts, ruccola sallad and sweet potatoes. Then we had coffee at Ritorno, which is a nice cafe of the old kind, that’s about to become extinct.
Then I took a walk to Mariatorget, through Gamla Stan and over the bridges. It reminded me once again what a beautiful city I live in. I wish I had more time to enjoy it and spend time in the city itself.
Met Mattias at the new Bishop’s Arms, where we had a pint and talked about work, music, books and what not. After closing time we went to his place where he entertained me with his guitar and introduced me to Isaac Hayes. I wasn’t that impressed, but I liked Portishead.
The evening ended in an attempt to find the bus stop for the night bus near Medborgarplatsen. I failed. Then, as I was walking towards Skanstull, this guy started talking to me. So we chatted all the way to the Skanstull bus stop, and he waited for the bus with me.
Now it’s almost 5 am and I should really get some sleep. What can I say… time flies when you’re having fun. :-) Luckily I don’t have to go to work tomorrow.
