Prague ramblings
red absinth crazy hot
awake in a late evening Prague
with CNN and shopping bags
feet aching from these cobbled streets and bridges taking us every way but straight to our destinations
they turn and turn until you see your own back
and the dark silhouette gargoyles on the roofs just watch you and laugh
they make cannabis vodka and absinth
for us to open our minds to the darker sides of this city where the dead seem to live on beyond the tumbled tombs
there’s a Dracula feeling in the empty streets, someone lurking in the corners, perhaps hungry for blood
or crazy hot red absinth
